Dee Pha currently serves as the Development Director for Sparks National Magazine. She is a second generation Hmong-American who earned her bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communications, Asian American Studies and History at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. During her undergraduate years, she was actively involved with the Asian-American Student Union, the Midwest Asian American Student Union and was an organizer for the student led-coalition, Asian Pacific Islanders for Equity and Diversity. Currently she serves as a Development Associate at a education based national nonprofit in Washington D.C. Dee has a vested interest in understanding the relationships between space, power, privilege and its contribution in developing identity. Through Sparks, she hopes to provide resources that will educate the growing Asian American and Pacific Islander community.
