Born in Toronto and raised in Central Florida, Liz Wang currently works as a Case Manager at Action for Boston Community Development (ABCD), a human services non-profit that tackles the cycle of poverty and addresses the needs of low-income communities. Following her involvement with City Year, she pushes education inequity and civic engagement to the forefront of the conversation. She has engaged in community education and activism through Asian American Resource Workshop, Asian Community Development Corporation's Chinatown tours, and criminal justice grassroots efforts. Liz graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s in Food Science and Human Nutrition. In her professional and personal circles, she is found eating or composting others' leftovers and arguing why recycling is connected to human justice.
